These plates are also more common materials in the daily processing process.
What is a highly reflective material? Many laser technologies are affected by their inherent sensitivity to the returned light, which leads to unstable operation and destructive automatic shutdown during processing, and even causes certain damage to the laser. This also shortens the life of the laser. Laser cutting machines are one of the problems in many metal laser cutting machine factories when cutting highly reflective plates.
Highly reflective metal materials have always been a difficult point for laser cutting metal materials, including copper, aluminum, galvanized, etc. These materials are also more common in our daily processing materials.
In laser cutting machine equipment, when a high-power and high-precision laser beam is cut into the sheet material, the sheet is quickly heated, and a hole is formed during the heating process. Following the movement of the laser beam on the material, the hole becomes a narrow incision width, which can complete the material cutting. When the laser beam converges into a small point, precision cutting processing, such as slight cracks and microporous processing, does not require tools in the production process, which is non-contact processing and will not affect the processing deformation.
When laser cutting highly reflective materials, some auxiliary gas must be added to increase the laser cutting speed. Why must an auxiliary gas be added to laser cut high-reflection metal sheets? When the metal laser cutting machine cuts the metal copper plate, the auxiliary gas added will react with the plate under the high temperature standard to improve the laser cutting speed. For example, the application of oxygen can achieve the effect of ignition. In the laser cutting machine, nitrogen is an auxiliary gas, which can improve the cutting effect of the laser cutting machine without blackening and burr. For copper plates below 1MM, nitrogen can be used as an auxiliary gas to improve the cutting effect. When the thickness of metal copper is more than 2MM, oxygen must be added to oxidize it to achieve the purpose of cutting.
